After the waning of the red star and the defeat of Set, several Garou packs established Houston as their home. Each identifies itself by the totem spirit that grants each member additional powers and responsibilities.
The strong and cunning Rat Pack is the alpha pack of Houston. Like their totem spirit Rat, they are known as pragmatic warriors against the Wyrm, interested more in results than in honor and willing to do anything to survive. They are a highly effective urban team. Totem Gift: Speak with Vermin. Members of the Rat Pack can easily communicate with all types of rodents.
Regal, elegant, and always honorable, the Falcon Pack is Houston's beta pack. Well-respected for their noble conduct, the followers of Falcon distinguished themselves by leading the mop-up of the Pasadena Oil Black Spiral Dancer hive five months ago, and since then they have been looking for a new challenge to grant them the honor and glory to elevate them to alpha status. Many of the Garou elite of Houston are members of this pack. Totem Gift: Raptor Eye. Followers of Falcon have extra-keen vision that functions like visual Heightened Senses.
Stealthy, silent and mysterious, the Owl Pack is a relative newcomer to Houston, having arrived within in the past three months. They watch and observe but maintain an aloof silence that causes distrust and misunderstanding. Like their totem spirit Owl, they are a brooding, mystical lot, preoccupied with Houston's Umbra. Totem Gift: Umbral Wings. Followers of Owl gain wings in the Umbra, doubling their movement (and the chance to get lost if they stray from the paths).
Houston's omega pack is the small Raven Pack, followers of the trickster totem spirit. Like Coyote, Raven is a great trickster, but is somewhat less brash about pulling his tricks, and thus can teach a diverse array of lore to those who seek guidance. Sustaining himself on the work of other predators, he learns much from what others leave behind. Resourceful and determined, the Raven Pack shies away from direct confilct and never relies entirely upon brute strength to solve a problem. They are the most good-natured of all the packs and are responsible for much of the communication to this point between the disparate groups. Totem Gift: Deathwatch. Children of the Raven can see (and sometimes converse with) the spirits of the dead.
Only one follower of Artemis has joined the Seekers, but she has already established herself as a formidiable presence.
Two elder Garou have journeyed to Houston to aid in the search of the Inner Flame. Stag has watched over these packmates for many years.
| Skywise Lupus Silver Fang Theurge seeker presumed deceased |
White-haired and forgetful, Skywise called the packs of Houston together after his Luna-inspired vision. Rank: Legend. |
|
|
|
| Kell Homid Get of Fenris Ahroun seeker presumed deceased |
A veteran of countless battles, Kell is the one-armed companion of Skywise. He is a gruff advisor and traditionalist. Rank: Elder. |
Those who have earned the respect of Grandfather Thunder respect but one thing; strength. Only two of his followers introduced themselves to the Seekers in Houston. Totem Gift: Strength of Will. Followers of Grandfather Thunder are nearly impossible to dominate and have the benefits of the Merit: Iron Will.
Not all the Seekers are affiliated with the four packs. Several unaffiliated individuals also joined the packs of Houston in the quest for the Inner Flame.
