playing

Come play with us! If you're interested, please send the storytellers an email at innerflamest@yahoo.com to start designing your character. We may have a few pregenerated characters on hand for last-minute arrivals, but if we don't have a character for you we can't let you play. Sure, you can watch, but that's not very much fun, is it?

There are a few requirements for being a player in Guardians of the Inner Flame:

If you've never played a live-action role playing game before, we suggest that you take a look at Chapter One of the Laws of the Bayou to familliarize yourself with what it's all about and what you need to know as a player.

character information

All player characters in Guardians of the Inner Flame are Garou from the standard thirteen clans. Here's the info we need to start putting together a character:

  1. Breed, Auspice and Tribe
  2. Personality description
  3. Part the character would play in a pack, or Garou society in general
  4. Nature and Demeanor
  5. Prioritize attribute groups (Physical, Social, Mental) from most to least important
  6. About 5 abilities that are most important to the character concept
  7. About 5 backgrounds that are central to the character concept
  8. Gifts and Rites that are essential to the character concept
  9. Background Story (including First Change)
  10. Any particular quirks, strengths, weaknesses of the charcter (Remember, good flaws make a character interesting, but we won't let you get away with taking flaws just for the neg. traits. No min-maxing!)

When sending us an idea for consideration, please try to include as much of the essential information as you can. Don't worry so much about points and just think about what you want the character to be like. We'll work with you from there to make a balanced character.

If you are looking for more information about Garou characters, White Wolf has a "Werewolf Quickstart" page with many good (albeit stylized) articles about the Garou. We also found the nearly-complete text of the Laws of the Wild online; the layout is poor, the point values are incorrect, the gift descriptions are a little off, but since we're using our own rules anyway it's okay.
